Sh. Bakr Abu Zayd [d. 1429 AH] – “‘If the one who has no knowledge remained silent then conflicts would subside.’ this statement regards the “muta’aalimoon” [pseudo-intellectuals] – those who [thought it wise] to sleep on knowledge [never venture to study or seek knowledge] and have yet to wake up. They exaggerated [their worth] without ever having attained [knowledge], and have mounted beasts [designated for] good [to reach] bad.” – End Quote – i.e inadvertently misusing ‘ilm [good] and the outcome being bad [conflict].
